CRUX League Head Climbing Coach

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The CRUX League Head Climbing Coach will be part of a team of coaches delivering practice content to our youth climbing team(s). CRUX League Head Coach will organize all of our local competitions at Shasta Rock Club, will work with the Youth Program Director(Paige Pitcher), oversee other coaches and execute a training program. They will ensure that a positive, inclusive awareness is instilled in our teams and provide productive instruction. Other tasks include but are not limited to communicating with families and mentoring athletes, team work and team building, mentoring and motivating.

SCHEDULE:

Practices are 2 weekdays in the evenings (Days TBD)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to pass a background check

• Passion for working with youth and developing youth climbing athletes

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with athletes, coaches, parents, and gym leadership.

• Knowledge and experience in climbing instruction commensurate with the team level being coached

• Climbing experience of at least 1 year

• Ability to work with large group of kids ages (12-18) 

• Applicant age 21+ 

• Being Assertive and Professional

 COMPENSATION:

$16.50-19.00hr DOE
